Dual filament tail light bulb 7225

Hi Silly Question,

Do the tail light bulbs light up when pressing the brakes? 2002 330CI, I replaced the rear brake lights and the tail lights for the first time and stepped on the brakes. I noticed that the inner bulbs which are the 7225s do not light up when depressing the brakes.

I did not think my year had adaptive brake lighting and was surprised when the second filament did not light on either bulb.

Anybody know if it supposed to light up and if so why it may not be?

Thanks....

I tried this and can not get the second filament on the inside bulb to light up under any test condition. Can anyone try this please?
