coolant leak?
i am suspecting a leak because dipstick is reading low but no low coolant light. also when i put some more coolant in the next few days it will go back to reading low (dipstick) but i do not see any coolant on the ground or leakage anywhere around the car. is this a normal thing to lose a bit of coolant during the summer? also the amount of coolant that i add is a very small amount about a 3/4 of a cup.

Maybe your coolant tank cracked. That happened to me, and the thermostat was toast. But then again, my driveway was flooded with coolant :O

Check the sensor in the lower radiator hose, the O-rings leak all the time.
If there is any moisture under the switch onto of the belly pan, your O-ring needs to be replaced. See my signature below for the O-ring part number.
