Exclamation Bushings & Ball Joint M3 E46//HELP!!!!!!

Hello,

I'm a new BMW M3 E46 owner. Have a couple questions for you current owners with experience. My M3 has around 60,000 miles and is in need of rear upper ball joints & trailing arm bushings. Should I do the front as well? The car currently has koni suspension and is lowered. Wanting the best performance for the cost. Any recommendations?

If you're going to do the rear bushings, you can use the upper ball joint for the bottom as well, this giving you OEM spherical bearings on the upper and lower of the trailing arm.

Change the front position trailing arm bushing to a urethane version while you're there and install a camber arm. That will basically rectify a your rear bushing issues until the diff and subframe bushings are needed.

But doing the front if the tear is due? I wouldn't unless you have an issue or have money burning a hole in your pocket.

I jug converted to urethane lca's and adjustable rod end sway bar links in the front. I love the difference under hard breaking and quick jerking of the wheel. Something to think of when the time comes for you.
