I read an AMA about that once. It seems to be somewhat common in the engineering field, especially computer. Sounds cool. I think someone asked him about MRI, and it wasn't a big issue.

Sooo, umm, what happens when you touch electronics...like your computer screen or your smart phone screen? Will it get all rainbowy and turn colors like it does when you hold a magnet to a screen???

How is having magnets inserted in your fingers not a medical procedure?

Maybe there's a reason only two in the country are doing it? I agree it seems, well, if not cool, a great convo starter at least, but aren't you worried about losing some of the feeling you have in your finger tips? I have to say, that what I've felt with my fingers are some of the best sensations I've had, though I guess now you have plausible deniability...

"Oh, I'm sorry, my finger is where? I'm really sorry, ever since I had magnets implanted in my finger tips, they're just naturally attracted to some places--I'll remove it right away."

So you now need to find a gf that has a tight coil of wire implanted in her...you know. Together, you'll make beautiful electricity together...watch the sparks fly!

I'll regain all feeling in my fingers. There is virtually zero downside to having this done. They don't wipe cards and they're safe to use around electronics.

Sorry but I don't see the purpose behind doing this... I'd suggest magnetic gloves or something temporary instead.

The magnet can move around/flip causing discomfort, the magnets strength depletes in time, no mri or high strength x-rays if something bad happens... idk A temporary solution would have been better!

You are going to get a metal sliver in your finger. And that's gonna be hard to remove. Also you can usually tell where the electric feilds around you are coming from by following the extension cords. You owe me $220 for unlocking the sixth sence with logic.
