BMW: Now with Siri

Looks like Apple has given a new reason to choose an iOS device over Android. BMW, as well as other car manufacturers, have promised to integrate Siri into their vehicles via a button on the steering wheel:

Siri is also going mobile: the new Eyes Free feature will put a Siri button on the steering wheel of Jaguars, Land Robers, BMWs, Mercs, Toyotas, Chryslers, Hondas, Audis and GM cars. The manufacturers have promised to support the feature in the next 12 months.

Cool, but I hope the selling point for cars continues to be the mechanical aspects of the vehicle itself and not all this computer-based ancillary stuff.
