Low coolant light on and a/c blowing warm

First thing this morning the low coolant light came on and the air conditioner is blowing warm air out of the vents. Maybe a dumb question but are these two issues related?

I know it needs some coolant. I usually need to add a little each month.

Well all of the belts are there.

Check for a slow leak in the fan switch located in the lower radiator hose. If there is a wet spot on the underbelly cover under this switch, you need to replace the O-ring.

See my signature below for the O-ring part number and it is very easy to replace. No tools required, if the is cold, leave the expansion cap on and just pull the switch out by squeezing the small wings. The vacuum in the cooling system will keep it from leaking, you will only loose a very small amount of coolant.
