E46 Weird Auto Tranny

Hey,

So I own a 2002 325xi w/140,000mi with an automatic transmission. I have had the car since New Years. Now to the weirdness. Okay, so when I test drove it I felt that the 1 to 2 gear shift was minimally harsh. So I baught it anyway due it costing only 4700. The car went into limp mode after a week of driving it due to hard acceleration. I got the tranny fluid and filter changed. But still has a rough shift. And It hasnt gone in limp mode since. When the car shifts from first to second manual mode or not,
It takes a second,
Then shifts. Sometimes, Under hard acceleration, In manual mode I shift from 1 to 2 gear in about 5rpm but it,
Pushes itself to red line. It's not as harsh when I drive normally which I normally do,
But for most part I can feel it. And the car shifts like this even when warmed up. Any ideas? Thank u guys

It could be your clutch or your solenoids. If you are DIY handy, you can take your valve body out and switch solenoid to see if it follows the solenoids. If it is not your solenoids, then your clutch piston could be going bad. That would require removal of tranny and disassemble.
