My E46 320i 5-sp!! Resto+Build thread

Hello!

Recently, I have purchased 2003 BMW 320i with 5-speed manual for my daily.
320i came with 2.2L M54B22 engine.(170hp)
Although I am posting from Korea, this car was originally came from Paris, France.

I am also proud owner of IS200(w/3S-GE, 6-sp) and C63.
I have been a member of this forum for many years, but I never had a chance to post.
So, I thought I would share you with guys.

I am planning to do some restoration + some mods on my daily.

Very short gearing!!

Replaced the Double VANOS seals with Beisan system's seal.
Now car idles much smoother, and regained low-end torque!!

Also replaced stock spark plugs, and changed all fluids/oils while I was at it.

sweet, in for update, nice rides, u do have nice taste and i jealous of ur all ur cars hahaha, i've owned the lexus in the past and it was a blast, gonna have to wait till i hit the jackpot for that C tho lol.

Thank you, and here is more updates.

Because the suspension had so much play on my 320i, I did complete suspension refreshments.
I used reinforced bushings to replace almost all of stock bushings.

Here are list of suspension bits I have replaced(All Hardrace products)

- Front LCA w/bushings
- Rear knuckle bushing (4pc)
- Rear trailing arm bushing (2pc)
- Rear camber arm replacement(pillow-ball)
- Reinforced engine/transmission mount (4pc)
- H&R Cup kit.

I feels SOOOOO MUCH sharper and stable yet very comfortable. Now it does feel like "Ultimate Driving Machine" lol

Now i really need to get some decent wheel!

Tint removed!!! It was PITA!!

Now time to fit 16in style 5 wheels.

320i is my daily which needs decent ride quality.
That's why I am sticking with 16in wheels and H&R cup kit.

Exterior is pretty much done except removing dents/detailing.
Now I need to work on the interior, and few more general maintenance(DISA and etc).
