Let me just start by saying one thing: I'm only a teenager in high school. Now, don't scoff and think "well, spoiled little rich kid got a BMW for Christmas." Before I even bought the car, my dad (an absolute car nut) and I decided that I could get any car as long as I paid for half of the price, all the parts, and did any repairs myself.

For the next 8 months I scoured craigslist, eBay, local car listings, etc. to try to find a car that would be safe (my parents' concern), reliable, and cool (my concern). I made money by working at my dad's garage every day for a full summer and made around $4000 (working 6-7 days a week).

Eventually, after sifting through a bunch of old Subarus, Hondas, and other similar stuff, I found my pride and joy, a 2000 BMW 323ci that I named "Fuchs." The car had 115,xxx miles on it when I first got it and a few mechanical issues, but I wasn't complaining. I did a tune-up, changed the fuel pump, soldered in a new temperature sensor yada yada yada.

A year later, I've had a few issues with the car (this is to be expected from a daily driver), but that hasn't stopped me from loving the thing to death. I take it autocrossing with local clubs in New Hampshire, and hope to do some TSD in the near future!

Upgrades? I put on some Bilstein shocks and struts, but other than that, everything is stock.

I mentioned that I have a few questions about some of the stuff going on in the car, but I'll post that to the general forum, not the new member introductions page.
