My 13 year old 323i with 90k miles does not require any oil to be added between oil changes (7-8k interval). Sometimes I think the dip stick is faulty since it always reads the same level.

I think my consumption will go down after my CCV is replaced. I think I'm doin' good for 218K!

Yah it surely will, at least in my case.
I can see oil there on the OFH, so I am not sure if it is the OFHG or the PS. But since I am doing CCV anyway I will do the gasket too.
I am at 147k, with only mobil 1 0w40 for almost a year.

Original owner, 116,000 miles, change oil every 5000-7500 miles. Does not burn a drop between changes.

A significant proportion of oil burners are using incorrect oil with Mobil 1 XW30 being the usual suspect

So for those of you that are leaking excessively,,, what oil do you use? Seems silly to use Mobile 1 when its draining almost as fast as ur putting it in.

I'm currently running Liqui Moly 5W30. No complaints here.

Running mobil 1 0w40 since 10 months.
Before that I was running BMW 5w30.

I know I am loosing oil because of the CCV and OFHG. Once, it is done I am sure I wont loose any oil whether its BMW unicorn tears or the mobil 1 0w40.

I usually have to add 2 quarts between oil changes (7.5K Miles) Using either Mobil 1 0w40 or BMW 5w30. I have no leaks.

My 2000 328ci has over 155,000 miles and the oil level stays the same with oil changes every 5,000 to 7,500 miles.

I have two 3 Series cars, one with an M50 motor, and one with the M52. The M50 has just under 150k miles, the M52 has more than 180k miles. Neither of them uses any oil.
