size in mm of special wrench for fan blade removal
have 02 bmw 330xi waterpump failed (150,000) not bad but need special wrench to hold pully to turn hexhead shaft on fan to get fan out of the way to pull out waterpump need mm size of special wrench .theres a kit at autozone that has different sizes but dont want to buy if size is not in the kit need size in mm,s ?

You can borrow the kit at Autozone, no need to buy it.
You have to hold the pulley in place while you turn the nut that holds the fan clutch, and fan, on. This nut is a reverse thread, to the rule of Lefty Loosey Righty Tighty is reverse. Turn this nut to the right to loosen it. |

It is a 32mm nut, but you can also substitute a 1 and 1/4" if you can't find a 32mm where you live. Personally I just put the wrench on the nut and give it a good whack with a mallet to avoid having to use special tools. That technique has worked for me lots of times, but use it at your own risk and be careful not to smack the side of your expansion tank with the mallet. REVERSE threads btw.

got wrench on fan nut/shaft need size of special tool i measured 2 1/4 from edge of nuts on pully going to AZ to get then install pump just hope I can get belt serpitien on car the right way! got manual ,just doesn,t show good diagram.
