Help, where is this hook up to?

Just wanted to thank you in advance for your help.

I have attached an image of the wiring harness conduit box for 2003 BMW 330Ci, which is located below the idle speed control valve and the throttle housing. At the bottom right, there is two wires, one large and one small. Wanted to know if anyone know where the small one is hook up to? It has a three pin connection.

Thank you very much.

How did you get to this spot? Did you disconnect this and not remember where is goes, or take things apart to find that this was not connected?
I ask because when I did the throttle body and ICV cleaning (along with the CCV), I took all these connectors off without notes because it seemed pretty intuitive where everything went back together.
And the plugs only fit where they belonged as best as I could tell. Does this plug fit either the throttle body or ICV?
Sorry I can't tell you exactly, but this is as much as I know.

Thanks for the reply.

I took out my intake manifold to replace the starter. There are several connector, one for evap purge valve, resonance flap, idle control valve, and throttle housing. I had thought it was for the resonance flap, but is not.

If you figure something out, let me know. I have been digging around both in the car and online, but nothing yet.

Thanks again.

Isn't there an air temperature sensor back there somewhere too?

Just a matter of going over the parts you installed until you find the one that it fits I'd think.
Let us know how you make out?

Thanks again for the respond.

There is a connection to the air temperature sensor, in the MAF housing I believe. This is not that though.

I am not home, but I think it may be this (see attached photo). Could that be it?

Thanks again, appreciate it.

Thank you very much for all your help. I found it, with some help. It is actually the solenoid, circled above.

Thanks again, truely appreciate it.
