Radio Harness for 1999 323i

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I just picked up a 1999 323i for a great price, runs great but needs a little TLC as it has minor cosmetic issues. I want to replace the stock radio with a single din aftermarket Pioneer radio that I have. I want to know which harness to use. It looks like there are two for sale, one that has RCA's in the harness and the other is just a regular harness

Buy the first one.
Second one looks like extra bullsh1t to me.

Secondly, it's is not a easy job changing the radio. A lot of clips to break, especially the removal of center AC duct.
You also have to cut apart a plastic cage thing to make room for the wires.

It took me about 2-3 hours to do it. Pain in the as$, a lot more painful than lets say change oil or change brakes

+1 agreed. There is NO room for an aftermarket head unit, and an adapter to the BMW harness inside there. I ended up just cutting off the BMW harness, and wiring it straight in.you may want to look back there before wasting money on an adapter harness.
Also, you do not need the 2nd RCA harness.

Thanks for the tips guys, this is a great forum. I noticed that the two speakers on the rear deck are blown. Does anyone know if these are 4 or 8 ohm speakers? I'm gonna replace them but I just want to be sure before I buy something.
