The M3 version has a slight bend in it for clearance, the regular e46 version (that I have) is flat and hits the top part of the engine. I checked it on Dinan also, 2 different part numbers for the M3 and other e46 3 series

You're local, and if it had been cheaper I would have tried to convince you to sell it. Been wanting to get a strut bar at some point. But can't justify the expense at the moment. Need to do some maintenance first.

I wouldn't waste your time looking for a trade. You would have to find someone who has made the same mistake as you, hasn't remedied it yet, and visits this forum. I hope you find someone, but i really doubt it. You're going to be better off just selling it and buying what you want. Not trolling, just being realistic.
