BMW P46 with HID upgrade kit
Hello all! I am new here however have a question I cant seem to find an answer too. I have recently purchased Depo P46 headlights with hid upgrade and angel eyes. Im pretty sure I understand the wiring of the preinstalled angel eyes and where I need to hook them up too however the Hids are where I think I will have trouble.
Im pretty sure that the hid will have to have a converter or resistor box or something in order to convert the power of the factory halogen to HID however where do you mount this box? does it not have to be secured? dry? etc? any help would really be greatly appreciated!! Details about my car: 2000 BMW 323i E46 4dr Base model with no alarm and currently factory halogen headlights. |

If they came with HID's then they should have ballasts that came with it. You can mount them anywhere in the engine bay where they wont encounter too much heat or moisture. Some even chose to mount them behind the front bumper.

Im just wondering what if water splashes up from under the car or something like that and comes in contact with the ballast? I just want to mount them the safest place possible. thank you so much for your reply!
