Friggen wheel decisions...

For ages now been wanting to get new rims.
I was SOOOOOOO friggen close on BBS CH or CHRs but fml I just cant commit yet.
I dont think black on silver looks good, kinda make the car look like it has these huge as holes (<-- see what i did there?)

So as jarryd did, decided to toy with photoshop abit and these have kinda grown on me.. BBS LM-R, i think LM is to classic to match my kit but the LM-R seems better...

what do u guys think?

Anyone got a suggestion on other wheels that might match? Ill photoshop and post em up as I get some ideas.

you looking to go 18s or 19s?

The BCs which Worx posted are nice if you want concave.

I love LM-Rs too!

Hehe I knew someone would want rims after I made a thread!

I'm stuck on the fence actually, are 19's that bad for the ride quality compared to the stock 17s?

I regret going 19's....i still have my style 44's and often think about throwing them back on but i guess it also depends on suspension etc

Its impossible to find nice 18" though, especially with any concavity at the rear.....evenmore so with OEM / BMW style wheels

Personally, I think you need an aggressive/flush wheel to match your kit. BBS LM-R look great. I'd go with them in a good offset/size. Also, I'd keep it at a good height so that you don't have much wheel gap. Aggressive wheels with huge wheel gap (4WD ride height) looks really bad. Are you on 18s or 19s currently? 19s aren't that bad. I ride on 19s daily, and on stretched tyres. Yeah it's bumpier but I guess you get used to it lol.

^ Love those wheels too, though I think they look better on porsches. Never seen them on a non-M.

So many different opinions, I got worx recommending me 20s bbs chr
saying I should fill the gap and not slam it.

Johnny reckons go old skool LMs and now chr 18s slammed...

Ugh

lol. I spent ages deciding my wheels. Considered Work Meisters, ccw classics, TE37, CE28N, BBS LM...etc. Depends what you want. I wanted something classy but still aggressive. BBS LMs are classy by I didn't like the usual 8.5/10 setup, wanted something more aggressive. So in the end went 9.5/11 and it's perfect for me. Personally I think 20s look a bit too big on the E46, 18s or 19s are good. 17s are too small. I say go BBS LM-R in 19s in silver. Silver because it contrasts more than gun-metal.

Wheels are like sex, you have to try a few different ones, and the car will look pos if you save yourself for marriage.
