Different tire size?
So, my dumbass friend drove my car with a flat tire.
Apparently there was a nail on the tire. So now my less than 5k continental DWS tire has cracks on the sidewall. I haven't call the road hazard protection program yet, but if I'm not mistaken, if my sidewalls is slashed, the warranty is void. All my tire sizes are 235/40/18, but I couldn't find a good deal on it. I do find 225/40/18 or 235/35/18 tire with a good price. I was just wondering if I can put different if size tire on my car. If yes, which one would be better? It's rear passenger side tire. Would appreciate any input. Thank you. Last edited by joez323i; 08-31-2012 at 01:18 AM. |

It is difficult to understand what you just said, but you need the tires on both sides of the car to be the same size. You cannot (SHOULD NOT) put a different size on opposite sides of the same axle. If you want to replace two tires, then you can do whatever you want. If you want to replace one tire, then you have to get the new one the same size as the old one.
