Anyone with an air-bag reset tool? NOVA/DC/MD???

I offer a six pack; free one-day dog walk; take care of your naughty neighbor's kid; just anything.
Just please help me reset the damn light!

My airbag light is always on for some reason, maybe the harness got messed up? What do you think?

I have read around here that it could be because of bad wiring/fuse issue. Very often it could be the sensor that goes bad and no reset tool will fix it. The best solution from safety point of view-change the sensor.
Someone also said if u disconnect the battery, airbag light comes on.

Cheapest and most dangerous way-take the dashboard out, put black electrical tape on the inside-you will never see the light again. Mine passed inspection this way..

LOL...My wife used to have a minivan that had a small emission leak which I couldn't find. When we went on vacation,I used to put tape on the dash so I wouldn't have to look at it!

Yes,

If you did not disconnect the battery and removed the door airbag it will throw a code.

Yeah that is possible. That just means they didn't disconnect the battery when they took the airbag out (or they reconnected the battery when they tried to get the window in position to access the screws after removing the panel/airbag/everything).

If that is the case you just need to get it reset.. I believe your local bmw dealership should do that.

Bump,

Anyone closer to Pa, that can do this. I took out my window regulator, got trigger happy and turned the ignition on to adjust. Now I have a light, if you could help I'll buy beer or throw you some cash. I just dont want to wait 2 weeks to a month for the 1.4.0 scanner.

Thanks

Hai H

*edit: Thanks for the replies, i got it reset.
