Those who didn't see on FB, alternator went completely today, nearly stranded me on beltway. Jumped it and limped it home, coasted the last 1/8 mile back to my house after engine management light came on and the thing sputtered and died.

Charged it back up, got the engine running smoothly, and its just sitting right now. Thankfully I had a nearly new battery in there, so it had enough juice to get me 8 miles home.

Time to throw another in there, and do the belts at the same time.

glad you made it home B. Alternator swap is not difficult as I recall. Good luck with it all...she'll be up and running again soon!

Hey tardo, trickle-down economics aren't working because regulation is pushing our entire middle class offshore. When Obama and your party can stop strangling production here inside our borders, companies like Apple (remember when Steve Jobs scolded Obama and told him he was killing corporate america) will come back to the US and provide jobs for the masses.

But hey, continue to push for greater regulatory involvement in the free market, continue to watch some of our largest US companies ship more and more jobs oversees, and continue to whine about how those damn republicans are looking out for the wealthy.

Oh, and do so while Obama buddies up with the CEO of GE who has, in the last calendar year, created more jobs in Asia than it has in the US.

Ignorance, the cornerstone of liberal talking points.

doubling the US citizen taxpayer owned debt to around 13 trillion dollars in the last 4 years has added numerous levels to the house of cards (current economy) well being.

Smoke and mirrors BJ, it's smoke and mirrors.

People can be obese yet physically healthy and fit and at no greater risk of heart disease or cancer than normal weight people, say researchers.

The key is being "metabolically fit", meaning no high blood pressure, cholesterol or raised blood sugar, and exercising, according to experts.

Looking at data from over 43,000 US people they found that being overweight per se did not pose a big health risk.
