My front German "novelty" plate was given to me by a German friend with connections in the DMV-equivalent department. My rear plate is Share the Road - ironic because I hardly ever ride anymore.

Virginia has a plate with a horse on it. I was gonna get it and have it read "ILVGLU" (I love glue). Also thought about getting "NOT M3" (not me) (I drive a 325ci not an M3)

I was going to get a personalized plate but I decided $78 was too much for my plate idea which I wasn't completely in love with.

I guess the cost is based off what you paid for the car or something like that?

i think every state is different. Here in VT you just fill out a form and pay an extra $30 when you re-register every year.

in the UK, you can buy only set plates, and they an be EXPENSIVE..... "F1" sold for £440,00 or $682,000
