Salt in your coffee?

Does anyone put salt in their coffee? I came across the idea a couple nights ago looking for directions on cold brewed coffee, and the idea is that it brings out more flavor like it does for some fruits. I tried it this morning but I don't think I used enough because I couldn't tell a difference.

I would think salt would mask the flavor. You need to ensure the water hitting the grounds is near boiling. Don't hide the flavor with cream and try to limit the amount of sugar you use. Try a darker roast for a little more flavor and certainly the quality of the bean goes a long way. Jamaican Blue Mountain is among my favorite and it can be had for a reasonable price.

If you're anything in real life like you are on this forum, then it's not syrup. It's spit.
