Trunk warning light???
I am stationed in Germany and the proud owner of a German spec 99 323i. I have an issue with my trunk. The trunk warning light is on and stays on permantely and also I can no longer us my remotless entry to unlock the truck. If anyone could point me in the right direction as to what the issue might be, I would definitely appreciate the assistance.

Look inside the rubber hose that connects the trunk lid to the car body. If the wires inside break they can cause issues like this (computer thinks trunk is open).

Don't just look at the wires...you won't see a break. You need to yank the wires apart as the wires will have broken inside the insulation. Odds are, more than one will pull apart. Inline spline, solder, and shrink tube will hold you for a while.
When the issues keep happening, search my 'elephant trunk' thread.
