Get side mirrors to move up/down when opening/closing the car?

I am using BMW Scanner etc, but I can not find the option.
I need to get the mirrors to go up when I close the car and down when I open the car. This is a late e46.

Thanks

Well first off -- are they power-folding?

No I use a fork to move them up and down usually...yes of course they are, why would I be asking the question otherwise ;-)

The switch inside works fine, I can get them up and down no problem.

If you have memory seats/mirrors, you need to access to FTM and BTM modules (mirror modules inside doors) with NCSexpert and in the fsw psw.trc file of both modules change the value of MEMORY_SPIEGELABKLAPPEN from nicht_aktiv to aktive, and recode the modules

That's it...

Then, to close the mirrors, you need to press the close button on the key for 1 or 2 seconds.

I don't know about the other cars but the M3 has it in options that you only need to Check or UnCheck to make active. Pretty sure it was on the same page with Autolocking at speed. Others may differ.

In my case (and in all that I tested), PAsoft is useless in this matter.
I check the folding mirrors box and nothing happens

Wait, he isn't talking "folding in and out", he's saying "move up and down".

Am I missing something? Why do you want them to move up and down when you lock and unlock it?

That's not the right code. He will need to look for:

BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL

and set it to aktiv in both of those modules.

No it's not an M3 mirror specific item, it's an option ordered upgrade. Mostly found in the European models. This is because the streets are often so narrow that when parked on the street cars will sideswipe and break the mirrors off. BMW made them for the non-m mirrors too.
I have these on my M3, but not triggered by lock/unlock. I feel that would make the motors for the mirror folding work way too much. And these are known to not have the most heavy duty of gears.

Oh wow! I might see if I can get a set over from Europe... That'd be a fantastic upgrade, for the sake of it.

Thanks guys, I never knew about these.
