What kind of shaver do you use for your face?

I am tired of trying to take 10+ mins shaving every day with a regular Gillette shaver and foam..I am thinking of going to the electric shaver world and getting a Braun 790cc shaver..is that too much or should I just get 390cc(almost $100 cheaper)? What do you guys use? and how well does it work?

I shave in the shower. Takes all of 1 minute to shave and wash it off. Fusion ProGlide with the battery all the way.

Braun is excellent though. Shop around for deals. I know during Thanksgiving they had killer deals on the 790.

I hate shaving, and usually use a electric beard trimmer on the lowest setting just to keep that 5 o'clock shadow look

But when I do I just use a disposable, most of the time after I get out of the shower.

just FYI is better if you shave before you shower..Found out by doing research..but I hate my facial hair because it grows all patchy..I can't pull off the trimmed beard or 5'o clock shadow for that matter

do you use shave gel or cream? a mirror?

electric razors don't give you the closeness of a blade razor. if that is fine, then go electric.

i just use disposable gillette 3 blade. nothing better or cheaper.

true, you can get a closer shave that way because your skin isn't swollen from the water and heat from shower, but after shower if 10x better feeling from facial hair being softer and easier to shave.

Gillette Fusion ProGlide for the blades. I watched a special on how they make the blades, and they actually test them with an electron microscope to make sure the blades are sharper/thinner.

After trying them out (I was skeptical at first) I am completely converted.

I use them with Edge gel, and I think that's the best combo for a completely smooth shave. No pulling, no nicks...really unbelievable. And I always had trouble before this combo with the razor pulling.

At home I use the art of shaving pre-shave oil, brush and cream, and aftershave lotion with a safety razor. Best shave I've ever had.

I don't like taking all that crap on the plane so when I travel I use a norelco with swiveling heads I picked up at costco. It is pretty decent for an electric but none of them can come close to a good shave with a manual razor. Just my opinion but if you are going to go electric, the swiveling heads work better than the bar type razors.

yeah and I'd rather it be easier, softer then getting a "close" shave.

so I'm good

I used to spend money on razors, and then I bought these when I was in a hurry. They work 95% as well as the Gillette Fusion, which is what I used to use, at a fraction of the cost. I'm going to buy a nice safety razor one day though.

I'm using these too - pretty decent shave for peanuts. That said, I've just picked up a King of Shaves Azor razor and blades (which made my wallet bleed and realise why I went to the cheapies above! )
