I'm along the same lines.

2 years on the iPhone 4 and it's sluggish.

So I wonder if AT&T unlimited users will be f'd soon.

LTE is going to require a new contract lol

I'm betting they'll have gotten rid of unlimited for that.

Nice phone, but not going to make me drop my Galaxy Nexus and convert. A 4 inch screen seems small these days...

I would have love to see a 4.3" screen, more ram and a better battery from the iPhone 5. That would've made shiit hit the fan with apple hysteria.

Will buy, but will wait.

Stoked on the features. Seem to fit what I need. I already think the network is fast enough. If LTE is faster, it can only be better.
Also stoked on the Maps app. And A6 should be awesome too.

I love it. The quality control in production already won me over. Show me another phone made out of solid metal and glass with tolerances like that.

http://www.apple.com/iphone/#video

The fact they pull of production like that while moving product at the scale they do is staggering. I certainly wouldn't be willing to sacrifice that refinement of the product to get some useless features like NFC or whatever other crap you guys are on about.

It's marketing. Many other phones out there are superbly built. Yes, my iPhone 4 is nice, but at the same time, I've had to resort to workarounds because the home button doesn't work 90% of the time. I don't care about NFC either, but I hate it when someone tells me they've built the best something or other and it has the same features as things that came out 5 months ago. I may just switch out of principle.

So I got the smallest 3gs at the time when I got mine.. 16gb. and it looks like I will also be getting a 16gb iPhone 5. Pretty lame, considering that solid state memory has gotten exponentially cheaper during that time frame.

You know Busa, my home button has indeed been acting a bit cunnty.
I wonder if they made that any better.

I'm also stoked on the new headphones. Conventional headphones do not fit my ears. It's always painful/unstable.

What if I'm already one year in out of the two years with ATT?

Compare this: iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S III vs. Lumia 920 vs. One X and more!

I'm going to buy this phone, plug it into my computer, click a couple buttons on iTunes and the phone will be ready to use with all my contacts, music, conversations ect.

That's why I and almost everyone else will keep buying iPhones, which is something the virgins just don't understand.

LTE was a cool new feature in Dec 2010. The first phone came shortly after in Feb 2011.

Fast forward 17 months and here comes Apple wowing us with "Ultrafast Wireless Technology."

I'm not impressed. And the whole "oh, they were waiting on the tech to mature" argument is such BS. That translates to "We were waiting on other companies to do the work for us while we sit and collect money from unveiling a new phone that is nearly identical to the outgoing model."
Granted their marketing is very good, who cares on what they call it?

I agree that LTE was a cool tech 2 years ago, but I'd rather have a good version of it that works in many places than the latest and greatest that I can't use anywhere but one small part of one city.

LTE is just now picking up substantial steam to the point of becoming more mainstream. Sounds like perfect timing to get into the market.

I will, however, agree that the 4S was a disappointment. A huge one even. If my contract was up back then, I would not have bought it. The iPhone 5 is enough of an upgrade to make it worth my while now.

Adding to the annoying Android fanboy stereotype

Nobody cares if you can be a hotspot to 14 devices, play any game you want, root it to be even more 1337, and if it can make you a hotpocket.

At the end of the day, its just a damn phone
