there is 2 differnt chirps depending on model year you are correct and this is the newer version of the sirens. But this will not work on your vert the siren will work and the incliation will work but you need a differnt interior motion sensor

keep in mind that in order to chirp, your car needs to be coded even after you installed the siren.

there are many different options in the dwa settings. the car can be coded for the alarm and siren or alarm without siren. (acoustic )

Is this compatible with a 2005 330ci ZHP coupe? Currently my car lights flash when locking and unlocking the doors....but I don't hear a chirp when locking so I'm gussing my car wasn' coded for it? or am I missing the siren?

Also, if i tap window or anywhere on he body this doesn't trigger the alarm so I need that sensor you have correct?

Sorry if these seem like stupid questions but I bought my car 2 months ago and just want to make sure I buy EXACTLY what I need and nothing extra. Thanks

Yes this alarm is compatible with your car..It sounds to me your car is programed/coded for the alarm. When you dont hear the chirp when you lock/unlock doors then there is no siren. if you look on the inside of your car on the roof panel you will notice a little square panel if you pry that of gently you will notice if there is a sensor on the other side of that panel and if no sensor then your car has not got the alarm.
