Cluth install issue

I need you help guys. I let a mechanic do my clutch i had purchased the kit off ecs this is it here.
Brand: Genuine BMW
ES#: 40923
Mfg#: 21207531556

Now he is telling me he needs special tools to do it. I had purchased a clutch allignment tool from pelican parts.
he said that part is right but he is missing a piece.
This is the piece he says he is missing. .
What is it and where can i get it, or do i even need it. the guide on pelican parts wasn't to clear.

You should only needed the alignment tool from pelican parts. The clutch comes with a retaining cage clip that should not be removed until the clutch is installed. If the clip it is removed before the clutch is installed then a special tool like you show in your post will be required to reset the clutch self adjust feature prior to installation.

He can also use a bearing puller and a BIG socket or something similar, I had an issue where I couldnt line up the input shaft due to clutch disk slightly off center, used a bearing puller and realigned the clutch disk, using the method here
