My Ride: 2002 330CI
'02 330Ci progress thread (pics)

Hello everyone, about a year a a half ago (Around January 2012), I got my first car, a lovely e46 (2002 300ci). Originally, it was pretty beat up, but for the price and the mileage (72k), it was worth the buy. I've posted some of these pictures on another forum, and everyone claimed she needed some serious TLC, so I came here for some of your opinions.

here she was in the shop, still deciding on buying or not:

the car is automatic, so I have not done any performance mods because I am looking to sell it now.

The hood was repainted by the next time i stopped by the shop:

here was the first day i drove the car home. although being treated like ****, the engine and tranny were still good. note: I have kept up with all preventative maintenance

first mod was to black out the grill/roundels:

Next, came the horrible bumpers being repainted:

window trim was blacked out as well.

I went ahead and painted my calipers blue, thought it fit nicely:

Finally, decided to get angel eyes, except i went the cheap route and got crappy CCFL ones on ebay, in a very bright blue which i didn't really like:

Next, I couldn't deal with the curb rash, erosion, or constant brake dust on the style 68 wheels, so plasti dip did the job:

sorry i forgot to add, somewhere in between all of these pictures i got 35% tinted windows

then up until the other day, i read that the CCFL angel eyes are known for catching on fire, so i went ahead and got me some Orion v2 predators, had a lot of fun installing those:

So there it is, that's how she sits today.
I can admit i went "Black-out crazy", but oh well, the car looks way better than at the time of purchase. let me know what you guys think!

How do the eBay ccfl mount on headlights as compared to the Orion kit? Both just 3m tape? Car looks good, perhaps coilovers?

The Orion V2's have clips that align with your headlights. No 3M tape required!

the plasti-dip will keep the nasty dust more visible and it is harder to clean. I would've gone with ceramic pads. nice e46 tho. looks perfectly clean
