Brake Pad Recommendations
Looking for a good brand and vendor that carrys them for my 2004 325ci... I get a ton of brake dust. Not sure what brand they are, pretty sure they're oem since I bought the car in June.
What I'm trying to find is as good set with minimal brake dust that won't sacrifice too much performance. It will be 98% street driving. I'll be going to the track for the first time with a friend at a CCA event, so I'll replace my pads after I burn through these but want to get them ahead of time

Sadly, what you are looking for does not exist.
If you want good braking, stick to OEM suppliers like Pagid, Textar, or Jurid for the pads. I am running Akebono Euro pads in the rear, and they have virtually no brake dust. However, I can already feel that less initial bite when braking. |

Well, I know no dustless pad will have good performance, but for street driving, I'm less concerned about it as I would be on a track. That's why I was hoping for recommendations on I guess a "minimal dust, less sucky pad" vs "zero dust but sucks balls pad"

PFC Z-rated pads. Low dust, not-so-good initial bite, but once you heat them up and/or go hard at them, they'll outperform OEM in a beat.

Thanks! only place I found them in stock at was bimmerworld and bookmarked. 200 for both front and back, not too bad. Have any other site that stocks them for cheaper?

Quote:
FCPEuro has them for 59.99 rear if I recall correctly, and probably a bit more for the front. |

EBC GreeStuffs sound like they would fit what you're looking for. They are a more performance orientated pad than stock, very low dusting, and provide tons of bite. Considering you're looking to only track once in a rare while they'd be a solid option to think about. HERE is a link to the ones for your 325.
Akebonos (LINK) are also a very popular choice, they aren't really a performance pad, but they are one of the lowest dusting pads around. ![]()
