Tires, Brakes, Alloys, & More
Well, I guess this is sort of the perfect storm, but some good will come out of it. I need to replace my tires, brakes, suspension, alloys, and have my car aligned, a/c fixed, and get some dents fixed too. I want to know what you all recommend for the items. Pretend money isn't a factor, or just say what you put on your car. I need new:
Tires - (maybe Pirelli P2 all-season?) Brakes - (unsure but like what Brembo has to offer) Suspension - (maybe Bilstein and H&R?) Alloys - (Love the ZHP wheels, can't find good OEM ones, but found new reproductions. I want to hear your thoughts on this because I'm weary of not buying OEM.) Want new: Sport Seats - (So difficult to find in good condition, it seems as though I have the nicest seats in the world. All the ones I have seen are crap. IF know of any company that produces e46 sport seats or know where to get them in good condition please let me know.) M Steering Wheel - (Again, tough to find in good condition.) About the car: 2003 325xiT, 5-Speed, Premium Package, Heated Seats, Added OEM look Xenons and Angel Eyes. 80k miles, Mostly everything stock. Thanks for the help! |

My comment would be regarding winter driving. Living in snow country, we call "all seasons" tires, "three seasons" tires. They simply don't offer enough traction even with an XI to be useful in the winter. We run dedicated summer and winter tire/wheels and it works out great should you need to stop or control your car in the white and ice stuff. There are no magic all season tires that I know of on the market.
I lived in NYC for awhile but have no idea what NJ winters are like? Looks like you going to have quite an investment in that XIT, don't compromise handling for looks.

I thought about winter tires, but we only had 1 snow last year that I can remember and it was about 1/2", I know that even a little is slippery but it isn't worth a whole new set of wheels and tires.
I know that these are reproductions but... http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-ZHP-Wheel...#ht_5568wt_956 What are your opinions on these? Oh and Kubica, do you use these parts on your Xi or do you want to get them? |
