shock spring combo

i ordered eibuch pro spring kit and 4 koni shocks.

i got the springs and the front shocks are on backorder and koni is not making anymore for the time being.

what to do now? can the springs work with blistein shocks instead?

any suggestions on what to do now?

john

The springs will work with Bilstein shocks just fine. Which Koni Stuts/Shocks are you trying to buy? My suggestion is that you buy the yellow ones.

I'm sure one of the plethora of vendors on this sight has a pair of koni yellows in stock somewhere. Check out the sponsors section if you haven't already. Modbargains, jlevisw just off the top of my head.

Yeah, they will work with the Billy's just fine. Some camps say they will work better. I've got the Koni's. They are adjustable, the Billy's are not. I have my shocks set to the softest setting, and would happily entertain suggestions on the other settings if anybody wants to make some.

See if you can get some Konis from www.ECSTuning.com. Get the number and call them. Ask for Joe.

Ok, so maybe that's something you should tell people in your original post. This really isn't that hard..either spend the extra money or get bilsteins which are also excellent.

Do not go SPORT bilstein w/ prokit eibach spring if you don't want a rawr/harsh ride on bumpy road & bumps.. ( that's my setup right now)

Updgrade rear shock mount to roguee engineering RSM ( amazing stabililty control at 100mph compare to stock or HD meyle.

Bilstein HD up front, m3 rear 1999 sport bilstein & eibach is recommended .

Try updgrade rear sway bar & front if possible with H&R & poly bushing on sway bar only.

Replace sway links up front.

Replace FCAB, tie rod,

Maybe 2k . _

my bad. i thought i had originally posted in the xi forum. it does say awd in the profile section under my name though.

mrlate:

that's too rich for my blood. mod bargains suggested the bilstien heavy duties and i went with them. cheapest alternative. i just need a safe driving car.

You don't have to do at all once, but once its done.. you will love the car more & have all lifetime warranty w bilstein & the other parts 2-3 warranty.

But good luck!

Make sure you put the new front strut in the correct position for best alignment.
