Please Help - Removal and Installation of new roof

Hi all,

I'm after some help. I've literally had my 2002 330ci convertible about 3 weeks. Last weekend somebody decided it would be fun to slash my roof and upon trying to claim through my insurance i discovered that my excess was extortionate. I have since bought a brand new roof but need some help on how to remove my old roof and install my new one. I've looked everywhere on the internet and can't find anything anywhere.

If anyone can help me or point me in the right direction on how to install this myself it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. No idea. I'll check my Bentley manual tomorrow to see if it has it.

Its fairly easy, I put in complete top with skeleton by myself. Its fairly heavy but if you remove the rear cover which is heald by 4 screws you have acess to complete top where you can unbolt 3 nuts on each side and unplug all cables including hydrolic lines, removing complete top.

But there's 4 nuts on each side, the 4th one is behind the rear seat trim - right? same with the electrical connectors, they are behind the rear seat trim too?

How did you bleed the system afterwards? I cannot find a DIY for that.

are you replacing the whole top (frame and fabric) or just fabric.
If just fabric this may be useful

I was under the impression that you wouldn't need to bleed the system as it's a closed system (more or less). Update on your progress?
