My search is over...

I'm back in an e46 M3. It's been years but it feels damn good. I had a 2002 silver smg coupe about 7 years ago and that car was a total pleasure to drive. After selling it in 05-06 i had some other vehicles in between and recently had a 2008 M3 convertible which I enjoyed, but the feel of the E46 is what I missed. I sold my convertible and have been searching for the right M3 for the last 8 months and found it today. I just bought an 06 Interlagos Blue M3 Comp. Package with Cinamon interior, nav, and it is a 6 speed manual. All I can say is Im happy to be back. Will post pics once detailed.

E46 blows away the new m3. Saying it from experience. The E46 is all about the driver while the new m3s feel like a hooked up 3series. Dont get me wrong the new m3s are great cars, but the e46 is iconic.

I just uploaded pics on the original posting I placed here... This car has been a blast to drive. Any mod recomendations? I want to keep it subtle and I was thinking about just putting on a black kidney grille as well as the black M3 grilles.

My Ride: 2006 M3 ZCP 6 SPEED
I'm so completely, utterly jealous. I have an '06 Interlagos blue on dove gray ZCP. I really really wanted cinnamon or imola interior but could not find it for the life of me Congrats!

As for modifications, I have some relatively simple, and minor modifications in my signature. I'm going for the "OEM plus" look. Hit me up if you want to discuss anything or need pictures of my mods.

I'm jealous. You should definitely throw on a CSL bootlid. Personally, it looks great on all E46 M3's. I was gonna suggest the black grilles too but you were already thinking that far ahead!

Congrats on a great find! Reminds me of the day my year and a half search for an alpine white on red vert culminated in sacramento. The drive home to LA that night was pure bliss.

As far as mods go, definitely go for a short shifter

Thanks again for all the compliments... Every time I drive this car a huge grin comes to my face.... the search was well worth it. Have plans to get the sagg-in-idus of my pillars (A & C pillars) replaced tomorrow as well as the black kidney grilles and black M3 grilles will be installed.

I was thinking as far as mods I plan on lowering the car slightly, adding spacers, CSL boot lid (most have recommended), as well as a front lip and possibly a Vorsteiner hood. Also ordered the DEPO dark corners and dark side markers... Plan on ordering Angel Eyes very soon as well. I will continue to update with pics as I make significant mods... Glad to be a part of this E46 community.
