1995 for $450?

Sitting at the bar last night I got into a discussion with an older lady who said she had a 1995 325i or 330i (cant remember which) that she was going to sell to the dump for $400 for the metal, I told her I'd like to look at it and possible offer her more. She said something was broken with the alarm system which made the entire car not work. This doesn't sound right? Anybody know anything about what she is talking about?

-I have not actually gone to look at the car yet, she is supposed to call me wednesday.

Ews. Look into how to bypass it, it's one wire.
