This is what happened after the lights were on the car for barely 2 hours. Click image for larger version

The one that started to burn was the left spot on the car, I have emailed Khoalty asking them to replace it. I literally just got them Monday. Hopefully someone will reply soon.

Check your running voltage to make sure you aren't high.

Were the bulbs 10w? I believe originals are 5w only. I replaced all interior lightings and license plate several years ago. After a couple of months the plastic casings on footwell and license plates were starting to melt. the led wattage on both locations were higher than original and they burn hotter so i reinstaled original bulbs.

I'm not sure what the wattage of the bulbs was. When I first put them on they were fine. Are there any other options?

That's weird. I have had my led licence plate lights for 2yrs no issues. Bought from Khoalty.

Not sure what happened. It seemed to be working fine when I put them in and then it just wasn't working, maybe a bad batch? I've never had this happen to other LED's that I've put on license plates.

I went with a set of sylvania LED bulbs from advance auto and they seem to be working fine. You have to order them online though as I don't think they have them in-store.

hopefully they work out this time. If not, the sylvania 6418 LED bulbs are only 1w so they should be fine.

LED bulbs are supposed to be more efficient so I'd be surprised if any LED solution was a higher wattage than the stock incandescent, but it is an important thing to check.

Will get them tomorrow, if they still have issues I will look into these. Thanks!
