Ever try adjusting your manual seat while driving? It's freakin annoying.
Also manual seats only have notches for settings. So there might be a setting between notches that you want.
Auto seats will cover the whole range of adjustment.
Sorry but the majority of people buying a luxury car, me included, will pass on a car due to manual seats

I have manual seats with power lumbar/bolsters in my M3 (..standard on 11.5-on cars) and it's just fine. RARELY do I ever adjust the seat, and I have found that manual seats - at least in the M3 - are preferable. I understand that the "notches" of adjustment on certain cars could potentially be problematic, but one shouldn't assume that all manual seats are created equal (..the same applies to power seats; I've seen/experienced some really crappy examples).

Oh yeah! There are plenty of us driving around 60k+ cars with manual seats. It would seem that many people don't care (..depending on the application).

I specifically ordered my 325i from the factory with non-powered sport seats because power seats are pointless. They are a luxury that no one really needs. Power windows and mirrors - that makes sense . . but power seats don't really do anything that manual seats can't do, except have the memory setting.
not to derail too much but the memory setting is a huge plus. I spent a ton of time tuning my driving position to exactly where I was comfortable, I would hate all that work to be lost just by taking the car to the carwash/valet/mechanic/whatever.

Wait, the FR-S/BRZ is a luxury car?

<2,700 lbs curb weight, 'nuff said. I think it's a fantastic new offering for true car enthusiasts. No turbo makes me really, really happy. I'm hearing rumors of high-output n/a in the STi version...I'm skeptical, but hopefuly.

A little OT, but the new RX-9 being built on the forthcoming ND MX-5 platform is kind of exciting as well. I'm not a rotary fan, though, so meh.

LOL don't know where this conversation is heading

For those that like manual seats all the power to you!

For me I like how the power seats go up and down in HEIGHT adjustments quite easily.

Still quite fascinated with the FRS/BRZ and reading all the reviews -

It does look awesome - but in my conclusion has significant drawbacks that include narrowish wheels - lacking in power - too small back seats -

But yea it will take more than a couple of years for the price to come down and make it "cheap" track car for weekends or whatever

Frs/brz suck ass. They handled well whdn i drove them but cmon, my 323i is faster than one...when it was stock

Im sure the sti will be awesome but these cars are way overhyped for what they are.

Oh and manual seats are better. And is it just me or do manual seats go lower than power? My friends e46 with power seats i have to recline the back more than in my car to get more head room...

Every single instructor that I've seen in a BRZ or FRS at the track or autox has RAVED about this car.

Your 323i was faster than a BRZ, stock for stock? Bullsh!t. Granted, the stock tires suck, but throw on a set of Star Specs or RS3s and watch that thing grip! I don't think it's overhyped at all - look at how many haters are still here

Your 323 is faster, even when it was stock? What are you smoking, I'd like to have some so I can also say that my 325 is faster than the FRS/BRZ

That statement makes no sense. " I don't like the car" ......... " I'm going to buy a used one"

My bad, I didn't realize the 86/BRZ was a "luxury" car.

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there."

"Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.”

”They're” is a contraction of “they are.” “They are” should always be able to replace “they're.”

Extra Credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3"
not "I'm looking for a M3".

non-power seats have been standard on the M3s always I think. Power seats have been optional on all the models I have looked at...many go straight to the track with their M3's even brand new and never intend them to be daily drivers.

Because horsepower and torque are ****ing amazing. If you get in a high horsepower car and go hoon it, you can't deny the **** eating grin it is sure to put on your face.

I like the BRZ/FRS concept a lot, but 200hp/151ft-lbs....are you kidding?

A V6 Accord / Camry will spank it in a straight line.....

If this car had 280-300hp NA it wouldn't even be a debate vs. the mustang.....why couldn't they do that?

Horsepower is fun, there is just no denying it. I think they should at least have come out with a high performance version straight away. It is also really nice to have the HP/Torque for every day driving, on ramps, passing ability, etc...

On the track or pure canyon carver - FRS/BRZ > V6 Mustang (for fun factor anyway)

Daily Driving and practical use....might go the other way.

I suppose i'm biased, look at the car I drive. Mine isn't that much heavier at ~3100lbs and over 2.5x the HP

That guy sounds like he's trying way too hard to be a contrarian and stir some emotions. As such, his credibility is questioned.
