Smoked headlights: Did you paint or buy new lights?

I have a 2002 330Ci in steel gray. I have clear corners now but would like to swap to a light smoked corner, painted reflectors too but my headlights (bi xenon) have a silver housing not black.

1. Is there a demographic I can trade lights with?
2. Do people paint them themselves or have them sent out to be done? I know for EVO's "EVO DAVE" is the guy people send headlights to for smoke
3. DIY? Is it difficult? I'm afraid to screw it up or end up with condensation in my lights like a buddy of mine ended up with after doing his LGT lights...

Buy smoked corners. Put laminex on the headlights + corners. Gives it a nice uniform look

Oh and DO NOT SPRAY ANYTHING ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS.

Would that still look good and stay looking good on a 330Ci headlight with silver housing? You have an M...

Im well aware.....You can open the headlight and spray the inside of the housing black......But it defeats the purpose of a reflective bowl (shooting the light outwards) But then again tinting the lens reduces light output as well. Pick your poison. Just keep in mind, mine are more protected from rock chips!

I would go with laminex. Inexpensive, quick install, serves a purpose. If it doesn't turn out how you want. Open them up and start painting.

What is the exact product you used and where can I get it? I would rather leave the lights as is than tear them apart...

I dont remember the site. The product is laminex, it comes in different shades of tint. Mine is 12% im pretty sure. Google it
