Avid reader, now a member needs battery help

Changed my power steering pump and belts. Now having power issues. I did turn the belt tensoner the "wrong" way, made it loose w/o belts, tightened best I could. Is there a torque rating for the tensoner, wondering if its to "loose" and thus not appling enough pressure on the pully wheel? Not sure if the altenator went south so close to the change or not. Took it to Autozone and they said the battery is "good" but not fully charged? Battery is pretty much dead, yet no indicator light comes onust a lot of clicking durning turn-over. Living off jump starts and portable battery box jumper.....Any help would be appriciated. 2001 bmw 330ci conv...Many Thanks Curtis

The tensioner is turned just to loosen the belt and vice versa to put it on. There is no adjusting needed.

Actually turned out to be a dead cell in the battery, $170.00 later and Im up and running. Reference to the tensonier is that I loosened is so much the wheel/pully was loose. Many thanks and a big shout out to those that are here. Would have never attempted to replace my belts, let alone the power steering pump.
