DVD/satnav won't fit in dash??

Hi, I've been trying to install an aftermarket screen into my dash, it defiantly the right model as I checked when I bought it and I've seen it installed in other cars.

The problem is there doesn't seem to be enough room for the unit to fit in properly because of what looks like and air duct at the back of the cavity in the dash.

Has anyone experience this problem before and know a way around it??

What brand and model are trying to fit. Most double din units require a modification to the air duct. I bet your unit is one of those!

Yes it would seem it is, as far at you're aware is there a part that can be bought to modify the air duct of is it a case of bodging it?
