Possible blown amp ?

Hey guys new here to the forum. ive had my bimmer for a few years now and ive done all my work on it. including wired the sound system.. just today i decided to replace the speakers in the door panel. i had my keys in the ignition but it wasnt turned on. i cut the clip to the speaker and that was the last time the radio worked. the fuses are ok. i think the stock amplifier is blown. has this happened to anyone before?
