Front grille HELP
my front grill assembly is broken to the point where it won't hold the grill in anymore, so I have it held in in a makeshift fashion until I find a solution. Can anyone direct me to wear I can get new brackets and/or how to solve my problem??

You'll have to buy a whole new grill assembly

Yeah over time the plastic tends to get brittle and they start to pop out. Mine are pretty loose too.

We have Matte Black Grilles E46 Coupe/Sedan/M3 available as well. It'll give the car a more sporty look and is definitely the preferred choice over the stock chrome grills!

WJLEGG, if you haven't bought a new grill(s) and yours are chrome, I have a set that I took out of my '03 330xi and replaced with black-out grills. Will sell em to you rather cheap plus shipping from PA to NC. If interested, contact me at tomoyer@verizon.net.

I have had two new sets of grilles. One matte black and the other was the Glossy Black. (Both from Khoalty.)
Not sure if they don't attach correctly to my hood (which a lot seem happy with theirs) or I am just stupid when it comes to installing them. Both very loose. If you don't want a black kidney grille you can buy used from a member here or just pay whatever exorbitant amount for a new set from the dealer.

I picked up my gloss black grills at the local BMW stealership for $120. The clips on my OEM chrome grills pretty much shattered they were so brittle....

It definitely tends to happen. My driver side grill is always coming loose.
I can't decide if I want to stick to the chrome, or go back to the black grill with the chrome outline that I had beforehand...

My grills are ok but the plastic pieces behind them are broken causing them to fall out. I have 2 pieces coming for it tomorrow. $29.00 each from BMW. I'll let you know how it works out.

Dude how about this. Find a salvage yard, get a set of front grills+assembly for like 50, and then spray paint them. I build custom controllers for a living, and the custom paint work is the highest demanding. Please tell me you know how to properly spray paint.
