Thought through this a little more...Since its only aids fire on cylinders 1, 2, and 3, I really doubt it to be coils. It's hard to believe all three coils or plugs go bad at the same time.
Also since it's not all cylinders, I don't think it's related to mass air flow sensor or vacuum leak.
I would think it to be an O2 sensor that is slowly deteriorating. A total failure of O2 should give a specific code for the sensor. However, I think your sensor is working inefficiently and causes misfire on a cylinder bank.
What year is your car and mileage? Have the oxygen sensors been replaced?
Other suggestions maybe cam position sensor, but I don't see why it would cause only cylinder 1-3 to misfire. Also, it would give a specific code for that sensor.

Suggest you check the first 2 links below in my signature.

Will not likely be MAF or O2 sensors.

Keep in mind fuel delivery starts at the back of the engine and then is distributed forward. A soft failed fuel pump could cause the front cylinders to have issues.

But do not rule out simple vacuum leaks and crankcase air leaks as outlined in the first link in my signature. CCV lower oil return line and DISA O-ring are prime issues that are easily missed.
