I met the guy's from Salamander Army through a friend. We played two gigs. One at a coffee shop and one in Dave's basement, know as the kegger. Although Mike moved on, they couldn't shake me that easily. We tried out many bass players and none of them really worked out. That's so funny! Everyone wants to be a comedian, I guess! LOL You weren't born on December 2 by any chance, were you?

Anyway, I'm sure that Japanese Girls band is better than they sounded to me...and House of the Rising Sun is a great song...so I'd like to hear their version of it!

You make it out this way, I'll definitely come out...and if you let me know in advance, I'll pitch your show during my show...if I get any more!

Just try to sound more like self-evident. That's all the advice you need.

Wow, that was really great. I was bopping the whole time.

So you should link some more of your stuff here...and, if you take requests, I think you guys would rock "All the Young Dudes" if you ever go looking for another cover.

Also, I thought Dave sounded much better here...obviously much better than Dylan! LOL

...and now, if you don't mind...were you guys licking frogs or something the night "Salamander Army" came to you as a name?

Have you seen them play? I set up a show with a band called Traindodge who's opening for self-evident for their 15th anniversary show. I just need to get them to play here.

You should get Salamander Army instead. I don't know Traindodge, but they sound like they'd have much stupider musician's than a band what defends lizards...which is kind of noble, I think.

Thanks again Doug, you are too kind! Dave is a good singer, but we really don't do a lot of covers...sometimes you have to do one just to make sure people know we can.

The name of the band is awful and we all know it, the key player started it over 15 years ago and none of us have offered anything better, plus once T-shirts have been printed you pretty much have to go with it..lol

Thanks!

What venue do you suggest, we have been thinking about play outside of the Twin Cities for a while now.

The Rex has a stage that could work. Maybe try n contact the UMD entertainment people n play on campus. Couple place in Fitgers that have stages. I dunno, you'd have to look around.

I've only been in Duluth for a year now, so i don't know of all the places that have stages n whatnot.

Cool, we will look onto that, I think on campus would be the way to go.
