recommendation for racing harness?

i'm looking for a 4 point harness to put in my e46 for weekend use and then i want to take it out again.
will only be using it for autocross or track days, not really wanting it for daily use at all.
i'm looking for something cheap that is safe (obviously) and easy to install, uninstall.
must be compatible with stock seats.

Without some type of roll bar or harness bar, there is no real way to do it right. I think Scroth used to make a system that would plug the shoulder straps into the rear seat belt receivers, but not sure it that is around any more. That wasn't the best setup anyways.

The lap belt is not the problem, it is where to mount the shoulder straps. If they are not mounted at the correct height not only do they not help if you need them, they can actually do more harm than good. You can look into a roll bar with removable cross bar. Otherwise, you are better off with just the stock belts.

As far as I know, Schroth is the only supplier that crash tests their 4 point belts.

Naaahh dude all you need is some duct tape and red paint no need for all That fancy sheet

I use the Scroth quick-fits and they are great for occasional weekend track use. Obvioulsy wouldn't use them for true racing or serious track stuff, but for a few weekends a year they work great. Cinch them up a bit and they really hold you in the seat well.
