Remote [inside button] trunk release problem

I have just done the remote [inside button] trunk release upgrade to my car and it was all working perfectly, I must have pressed the button 50 times and it worked every single time.

I also did this little mod to a friends car and it was also working perfectly, however, after a while his stopped working, pressed the button and nothing, I tested mine and the same nothing!!!!

The only thing that has changed from when the switch/button was installed was that I did some NCSexpert coding on both cars (the GM5 module), could this have "switched off" the remote trunk release?? I don't see an option for it in the GM modules config,

Both cars cars e46 2003/2004 M3 coupes and the boots are not in valet mode.

I've double/triple checked the wiring and also tested the input (pin 6) into the GM5 this now no longer works.

Have I somehow disabled or blown something in the gm5?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
