WTB: King Springs

hey y'all, looking at lowering my car just wondering if anyone has some king springs for sale?

On stock struts?? Please don't.

You will be paying $$$ for new struts/suspension in the near future if you put lowering springs on the stock struts.

Just save a little more and buy some proper springs and struts or even a decent set of coil overs.

I'd recommend Eibach PRO kit springs.
My brother has had them on stock shocks for 3 years. Lowers it nicely and I'd say better than Kings quality.

ah righto i'll look into them. yeah i just have stock struts but ive heard mixed reviews on whether you NEED new ones when changing springs. i know it would be better but i have limited $$$. thanks for the suggestions fellas

I second Eibach Pro kit. Do not put king springs in it.

Some people on here and M3F swear by Vogtland springs. I've used Eibachs across three different E46s and loved the height and ride. Either of those brands or H&R will be fine

I'm on Eibach Pro's and very happy with them, but I did change my shocks as well cause they were blown to begin with.

I'm running King Spring super lows. Pretty good for $400 installed. If my shocks ever fail I have set aside a few grand for coilovers...but untill then I'll keep out turning the ford commodores.

depends if you want just King Springs Low or Superlow...if you're after the Superlow look, i suggest going for Eibach Sportline Springs.

the pro-kit sits quite a bit higher than the sportline's do (taken from tirerack site):
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs usually lower vehicles 1.00" -1.25". Sportline Springs provide an increased drop typically 1.50" to 2.00"

I had Eibach Sportlines in my old 325. Loved them, perfect height and great handling even on stock shocks. Apparently the rear shocks went shortly after I sold the car so keep in mind that you'll be up for shocks at some point (the springs were in the car for at least 60,000kms / 2 years before the rear shocks went).

H&R also make a good springs as well. I reckon you're best off sticking with German seeming they are specifically made for these cars and with handling in mind, mind you I've never tried King springs so I can't comment from first hand experience. I think King springs are only available in Australia - I've never seen them for sale on US websites so consider the R&D they would've gone to for the size of the e46 mod market over here.

I've got Pedders, they are low! Willing to sell them as I went coil-overs soon after. So the question now is how low do you want to go!

could possibly be getting some H&R springs. i wanna drop prolly 30mm i reckon. I think keeping it german is prolly the way to go too. cheers

i had king springs superlow, i didnt mind them. Were pretty good for the price of them. Brand new were $150. Didnt blow my shocks or anything.
I even ended up selling the car with superlows and the buyer liked it too..haha
