Moved threads

I noticed this morning that some threads that 'technically' I guess belong in other sub-forums...like brakes...had been moved.

Although I know there are sub-forums for this, most of those sub-forums have very few readers at any particular time, yet most fanatics read the General forum (I believe).

I'd suggest threads having to do with our cars' functions stay in General...so everyone can learn and help one another.

However, I would like to suggest that all 'color-type' threads be moved elsewhere...if not Showroom, then OT. "Who hates parking lots" is currently in General, and that, to me, definitely belongs in OT.

It doesn't bother me in General at all, mind you, but I do think that functional-type threads (like brake pads/bushings/etc) are beneficial in General.

Just saying! Nothing personal!

Although you may be right, those threads still belong in the proper sections. For the high post count/view threads they have a permanent re-direct for them so they will still be shown in the general section.

Honestly, if there's a place for color threads to go, I don't mind forum hopping if needed...and a permanent redirect is a great idea.

Also, Jake, I'm thinking you should make that 'announcement' of yours also into a thread or sticky. Not many have read it yet it seems and they should...otherwise, you'll have created a lot of extra work for yourself and you do enough here as it is.

Can we send 'color' threads to Australia or something?

I agree. All these "mega threads" should be moved to OT, too. Like the college and high school kids threads, etc... They're really nothing more than chit-chat threads and have no viable information in them.
