HELP with e46 purchase

Hey everybody, my names Jason and i have just registered to e46fanatics.com. Im planning to purchase a e46 325ci soon and was hoping to get advice on what i should look out for when purchasing one. Any advice and inputs will be very much appreciated. Cant wait to start modding and driving the awesome e46. Thanks guys!

Just a question.. Why a 325? Not that its a bad car in any way shape or form but usually people who want to start modding their car eventually want more power...

Haha easy answer, still a p plater thats why :p. but interested in 330's but cant find a black on black one with low K's. haha Is there certain areas i need to check when purchasing one?

Service history
Water pump/cooling systems prone to fail
Rear subframes can crack typically on the higher power cars
Get some form of mechanical inspection
etc

Welcome!
As above, make sure you get an inspection by someone who knows the cars is probably the most important things. I'd recommend Worx or BM Autoworks.
FIgure out what options are most important to you now, as it's a pain to add them later.
