ZPP - Premium Package

The premium package has been available on all 3-series cars. It typically included:

Different wheels/tires [if ordered with the sport package, the sport package wheels/tires superseed]
A multifunction steering wheel [IF it was not already standard on the vehicle]
Wood grain interior trim [if ordered with the sport package, the premium package wood is typically installed, unless specifically requested otherwise]
Rain-sensing windshield wipers (became standard equipment in 2004)
Auto-dimming rear-view mirror
Power seats
Lumbar Support (not available on the 325)
Moonroof (note: moonroof can also be ordered separately)
Shrug...

I'd personally go for a ZHP. Wish there were ZHP around when I was looking for my car, lol...

Well considering you can have the performance "ZHP" and premium "ZPP" pack together, why is this a thread? The premium package can be on any E46, 323, 330, etc, the performance package is only available for 330's and it does what it says, ups the performance a bit. Premium just adds a few creature comforts to the car.

If I had to choose 1, it'd be ZHP. Most of the ZPP features were available as standalone options.

Fwiw, ZHP and ZPP couldn't be ordered together for MY2003

To order anything not on the option list requires that you go thru the Individual program which I have been told is so expensive as to be not worth doing.

WTF is this thread?!

If you could choose a white exterior or a black interior, which would you choose?!

It is better. The ZHP Performance Package option was around $4,000 IIRC. It's the type of thing where all the ZHP specific parts working together is of greater value than the sum of all the individual parts added up. ZHPs came with the more attractive M-Tech II bumpers, Style 135 wheels, a raised redline, more aggressive cams, etc. Of non-M e46s, it is the most desirable and fetches the highest market price.

"Premium Package" or the "Performance Package"? How could anyone pass up that wood trim
then again if you order the Performance Package you're able to makeup just about any part you want being specially made for the car.

The higher redline is not what makes the 10 more horsepower.

Also, NON ZHPs have 6 speed manuals.

I had a 330 with ZSP and ZPP. I don't miss the premium package at all.
