I thought there was some talk on here a while back, and someone made it sound like they were testing this on their car. I could have read it wrong though.

Rob, is this an addition to the shark someone would have installed already or a new edition?
suggestion for the less than highly-skilled among us: stay w/original or wait for this one?

That is the question, isn't it. Only J. Conforti knows when it's really coming out, so I can't give you advice on how to proceed. But, I just can't see J.C. writing that post back around 7/2011 if he didn't mean it.

The main reason is that there is a limited number of poeple out there that want to tune with their car. Then most BMW people are only willing to spend $300 - $400 for something to only get 10hp.

As for other cars, most are simpler but then a Porsche is pretty much the same as a BMW. Difference is, the Porsche crowd don't mind spending $2000 - $3000 for something that might only net 10hp.

One other thing that will happen. Since turbo cars can get the most power increase by messing with the ECU, the newer BMW's (i.e. 135 or 335) there is a big market for that. When BMW ditches the NA inline 6 for the Turbo inline 4, there will be a group that will jump on that right away.

Jim C had mentioned to me that Shark Edit was still going on and with him running so many of his own businesses aside of Shark Injector stuff/Edit that also has kept him busy. He was revising a few things.

Jims quote
Quote:
Depends on the options - but I won't really set the price until
it's released. Which should be in a month or so - maybe less.

Right now I'm trying to figure out why a stupid virus scanner
is detecting my programs as a trojan dropper - when they are
stupid function test programs.

I got a reply from oem tuning, and they said that they can tune the eu2 version of the dme. I wonder if this shark edit will be able to also.

SE should be able to tune almost any Bosch or Siemens system.

Fux yeah!

Currently the Shark Injector doesn't support European DME tunes. I hope the Shark Edit is my dream come true. I want headers desperately, yet I need to pass OBD2 emissions...My MIL is off which is instant fail. But I have until February 2013...NBD.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the Edit is going to allow you to go in and change things like that. It's for tuning, not for turning on/off factory options.

Aside from that, wiring up an LC-1 to fix the no cat issue is a heck of a lot cheaper than a full Shark Edit solution is going to be.
